Nancy Christine Sosnowski

Nancy C. Sosnowski, 49, of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.  She was surrounded by family and dear friends.

Born and raised in Wilmington, Nancy was a 1986 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School.  She was employed for the past 18 years as a legal secretary with Young, Conaway, Stargatt and Taylor, where she made many long lasting friendships.  Nancy was an avid Soccer fan and animal lover, enjoyed listening to music and drives in her Saab convertible.  She also loved relaxing at the beach, attending the yearly St. Patrick’s Day Parade and festivities, and cruises to many warm destinations. 

A loving and devoted mom, Nancy will be dearly missed by her sons, Jack Press (Becky Ryan) and Brogan Press.  She will also be lovingly remembered by her parents, Edward “Butch” and Marie (Payne) Sosnowski; her sisters, Mary Ann Sosnowski and husband, Chris Johnston, Susan Norvell and husband, Mike; her brother, Edward M. Sosnowski; her niece, Paige Norvell and fiancé, James Kafantaris; her nephews, CJ and Jeremy Johnston.

The family is eternally grateful to everyone – too numerous to mention – for their love, concern, prayers and care of Nancy.  Special thanks are extended to the ER staff at Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals, the staff of 6B at Christiana Hospital, Dr. Himelstein and Dana, Delaware Hospice, and colleagues at Young, Conaway, Stargatt and Taylor.

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Streets, Wilmington on Sunday, September 24 from 3:00-7:00PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 25 at 1:00PM.  Interment will be held privately.
