Announces Decision to Continue His Business with Doherty

Wilmington, DE May 15, 2014: John F. Yasik III, the longtime owner and operator of the John F. Yasik Funeral Home located at 607 S. Harrison Street, announced today that he has elected to join with the Doherty Funeral Homes of Wilmington and Pike Creek. “The funeral business is changing and the methods of serving families are changing dramatically. I have had to make solid long term decisions so the families that relied upon me and my father before me, can know they are going to be well served in the future,” John said. “I have known and respected Bill Doherty and his organization and am pleased that he wants to have me join with his firm, so we can make long term plans to serve my families,” John added.

The funeral business changes John was referring to deal with the use of funeral facilities, preneed, cremation and professional staffing. “I look forward to my association with Doherty’s and want my families to be able to avail themselves of their first class facilities, staff and long term presence in the community,” John explained. Bill Doherty is just as elated to have the addition of John to his firm. “I am very pleased that an outstanding professional and well respected individual in this community would want to join our firm,” Bill said. “We have made many of the adaptations to our business, staffing and operations that prepare us to serve the families of Wilmington, regardless of ethnicity, well into the future. John’s trust in us is very much appreciated,” Doherty added.

John went on to say that all services pre-arranged with Yasik will be honored without interruption.
