So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was a great work colleague and even a better person. I always enjoyed his sharing of his many jokes about actuaries. With deepest sympathy and hope you find peace in the many happy moments and memories.

Dear Rick, Andrea and extended family, on behalf of all my family and myself, we extend our deepest sympathy for your loss. For the times I had the pleasure of seeing Ed when he would come to Hampden to visit, I will remember him for his Big Hugs at "hello" and "goodbye". He once asked me how do I keep my insanity here at the Bertheaud house? I responded with "it's all about love". He hug me again and said "that'a girl". We laughed too and at that moment i had a feeling come over me that i was so much more part of the Bertheaud family. Rick and Andrea, i love you all with all my heart and thank you both very much for having me be part of your extended family and friends. Today and always, love and prayers from all of us. Sincerely, Diane Helen

Charlene and family,
You got it just right. You did everything just right. I know it was sudden and it took your breath away-- but I honestly believe that Ed would have wanted you to have some peace, especially before the holiday season sets in. What an amazing man-- all of his accomplishments are overwhelming! He touched many lived through his work. Be kind to you yourselves and each other. I am very sorry I can't get off work to attend the services- but I will be there in my heart. All our sympathy-- Al and Michele Rossi

Ed was my first manager at The DuPont Company in the Actuarial Group within the Treasury Division of Corporate Finance. I will be forever grateful to Ed (and Ed's manager, Ken Porter) for hiring me right out of college (June 1989). Ed also attended our wedding in May 1996. Ed was upbeat, had a very hearty laugh, and was quite sharp intellectually. He was admired and well respected by some many of his DuPont colleagues, as evidenced by the long line of well-wishers at his retirement reception a year ago!

May our Heavenly Father comfort you by His Holy Spirit as you grieve over Ed's death, and may your memories of Ed be both many and sweet! My sincerest condolences to you all at this trying time.

Ed was a great colleague but an even greater human being. His can do attitude as well as constant small were very contagious.

Prayers for the family as they deal with his passing

We are heartbroken, but celebrating the life Ed lived, to the fullest, and knowing that he is now healed fully, enjoying being welcomed into the arms of Jesus . . . what joy there must be in heaven as he is reunited with family . ...praying for the family in these days. We love you.
