I first met Ed whilst traveling from Montréal to Washington circa 1978. He was traveling with his nephew. We remained in contact by mail for many years thereafter and I visited him once in Delaware. Ed was a courteous gentleman and I valued my friendship with him greatly. I came across this memorial page purely by accident when I saw the riots in Wilmington and suddenly thought of Ed. We hadn't corresponded for a few years and seeing this page was a huge shock. I feel a great sadness as he was a true friend. Tabitha, Sheringham, England

I am devastated to learn that Ed passed away. He and I were very close when we worked at Amtrak testing the F69PH AC locomotives, traveling all over the United States testing them. He was smart, funny and an all around good guy. Sincere condolences to the entire family. ~ Leslie Selby Savoye Lafayette, CA

I wish I didn't have a reason to send this condolence message. I'm so sad that Ed has passed away. He was a fine man, and I will miss our sarcastic back and forth via email. I am glad, however, that what must have been misery for him is over. I will be thinking of and praying for his wife, Marion, and other family members. May God grant you the peace that only He can provide and understand.
