William P. Bolen, Jr.

William P. Bolen, Jr., age 71. of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

Bill was retired from MBNA in 2005 after 15 years of service. He then worked part time for THG Transport until 2017. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved traveling, going to the beach and spending Fridays with his grandchildren, Brenden, Avah, Liam and Jaxon.  He especially enjoyed creating silly games to make Brenden laugh.

He was predeceased by his son, Eric C. Bolen, his parents, William P. Sr., and Elma Bolen and his siblings, Joe, Norman and Ruth.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carrie; his sons, William P., III and his wife, Nicole and Brice J. Bolen; his grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 22 at 6:30 pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, where friends may visit after 5:30 pm.
