William F. Mahon

William F. Mahon, age 70 of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 22, 2021.

Bill was born in Wilmington, son of the late Louie and Doris (Prather) Mahon. He served in the US Army and enjoyed a 20-year career with the Wilmington Police Department and upon retirement, worked in a variety of private company security positions.

He is survived by his wife, Brandy (Spena) Mahon; his children, Jason Mahon (Jill); and Brian Lopes (Jill); his grandsons, Tyler and Sean Lopes; his siblings, Dorothy Steele (Jim), Steve Mahon (Mary), Michael Mahon, Patricia Gray, and Peggy Crapses (John); and his brother-in-law, Joseph Spena.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Mahon and Mary Ellen Mahon.

Services for Bill will be held privately with his family.
