Vivian Pauline (Pellegrino) Burr

Vivian Burr, age 96, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

She was born in Norristown, PA, daughter of the late Frank and Carmela (Bruno) Pellegrino. In addition to raising her family, she worked for many years behind the deli and butcher counters at the SuperFresh Market.

Vivian was a founding member of the group Post-Cana (now known as PC Fellowship), which served as a social community for widows and widowers. She also enjoyed spending summers in Stone Harbor, NJ; reading, playing games and completing crossword puzzles. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Michael Berryman (Michele) and Anna Agostini (Louis, deceased); her step-daughter, Jane Diffendal (George); her grandchildren, Philip, Tracy, Matthew, Erin, Ben, Eric, Jennifer, Sean, Nicole, and Jessica; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at St. Matthew’s Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
