Theresa O'Connor Brown

Theresa O'Connor Brown, 86, of Wilmington, DE died May 10, 2021 at her daughter, Kathy's home, in Okatie, SC. Theresa was born in Wilmington, DE and was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Lehane O'Connor, husband, Norman, and siblings Anna, Joseph, William (" Billy ") and Mary McCafferty. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Kathy (David) in Okatie, SC and Stacie in Tequesta, FL and her sister, Catherine (" Kitty ") Hanley, in Richmond, VA.

Theresa prioritized her life around her family. She juggled working full time and raising her children. She worked the midnight shift at the telephone company so she could care for her daughters during the day. She enjoyed spending time with her family in Stone Harbor at their beach house and looked forward to spending holidays and celebrations with her siblings and their families. She was proud of her Irish heritage and made 2 trips to Ireland to visit her family and homestead. Theresa was a bundle of energy and was always up for adventure and fun. She loved her church, St. Helena's, and all of her friends from church and her North Hills neighborhood. Theresa loved going antiquing with her girls up and down the east coast hauling their " finds " back home in her pickup truck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Helena's church on Monday, May 17th at 10:30 a.m. and graveside service immediately following at St. Joseph on the Brandywine. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Helena Roman Catholic Church on Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE can be made in Theresa's name.
