Stanley Robert Mahaffey

Stanley Robert Mahaffey, 80, formerly of Galion, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Wilmington, Delaware after a long illness.  He was born on September 2, 1940 in Marion, Ohio to the late Robert and Isabel (Walker) Mahaffey.  Stan graduated from Pleasant High School in 1958.  He married Wilma Jean Smith on July 2, 1966.

Stan was a loving and supportive husband and father who always provided for his family.  After high school he served in the United States Army and returned to begin a long career in retail, starting as a salesman and working up to store manager.  In addition to spending time with his family, his hobbies included fishing, riding motorcycles and working on cars.  In his later years, he enjoyed playing cards, spending an evening sitting on the front porch, and visits from family and friends.

Stan is survived by his wife, Wilma; his sister, Margie Duncan; three daughters: Lucreda Boylan (Mark), Taunya Antonacci (John), and Lalita Kopchinski; six grandchildren: Catrena Boylan, Cooper Boylan (Theresa), Kara Kopchinski, Alyssa Muth (Kealan), Austin Antonacci, and Evan Antonacci.  In addition to his parents, Stan was predeceased by his sisters, Evelyn Cooper and Brenda Mahaffey.
