Ruth Delores (Rozenko) Truskolawski passed away on April 25, 2018 at Heartland Hospice Care in Wilmington. She was 88.
The daughter of Johanna E. (Kozloski) and Joseph M. Rozenko, Ruth was born in Swoyersville, PA on January 30, 1930. For the rest of her life, she fondly recalled her childhood and the time spent with her family on Johnson Street in Pittston. Ruth’s family relocated to Wilmington, DE in the mid-1940s.
She married W. James Truskolawski in 1958 in Wilmington and the couple had two children, Richard and Tina. Ruth served as a telephone operator for Diamond State Telephone and their successors for more than 30 years.
Ruth’s three grandchildren were the lights of her life. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and watching movies and her favorite television shows.
Ruth was predeceased by her mother, father, husband, sister Louise Consiglio, brother Robert Rozenko, and beloved brother Richard Rozenko. She is survived by her son Richard Truskolawski (Paula) of Newark, daughter Tina Medkeff (John Jr.) of Wilmington, granddaughters Samantha Truskolawski of Newark and Rachel Truskolawski of Wilmington, and grandson Logan Medkeff of Wilmington, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Ruth’s doctors and the nurses at Christiana Care, ManorCare—Pike Creek, and Heartland Hospice House, especially Elaine Keegan.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
