It is with great sadness we announce that Paul K. Wagner passed away from a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Born in Wilmington on February 25, 1950, he was the son of the late Otto and Kathrina (Fuchs) Wagner. He was a graduate of Wilmington High School, 1968, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Delaware.
Paul enjoyed golf, fishing, boating, spending time with his grandchildren and family. Crabs on Father’s Day was a must! He was very social and could connect with anyone. He especially enjoyed talking with young people about their education and future plans. He was a great mentor to many. He touched many people including family members, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, great great nephews, co-workers and friends. Paul liked crushed ice, snacks and coffee drinks. He enjoyed doing projects in the yard and particularly loved sitting on his porch smoking his cigars.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Linda Brown.
Paul will be dearly missed by his wife, Deborah L. (Sarver) Wagner; his son, Karl Wagner; his grandchildren, Grant and Elizabeth Wagner.
Paul was a dedicated husband, the greatest father a son could ask for, and Uncle Paul to so many. He sung to his wife every day whether she wanted him to or not. Their relationship was a true love story.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Tuesday, June 22 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paul may be made to St. Edmond's Academy, 2120 Veale Road, Wilmington, Delaware 19810.
