Pamela A. (Marr) Rybinski

Pamela A. Rybinski, age 78, of Newark, DE, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, after a struggle with multiple strokes. She was born in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Theodore and Hazel (Bryden) Marr.

Pamela attended Goucher College and the University of Delaware to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She went on to become a realtor and achieved “Realtor Emeritus” status after matching people with homes for over 40 years. Pamela was an avid gardener, having acquired her Master Gardener certification at the University of Delaware. She delighted in growing and arranging flowers for her friends as well as supplying them fresh vegetables. Her other hobbies included reading and writing book reviews; knitting; and training her beloved dog, Cassie to become a therapy dog and taking her to nursing homes and hospitals on goodwill visits. Pam was a founding member of the Newark Arts Alliance and was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, having a relative that fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, William S. Rybinski; her children, William J. Rybinski, Holly Rybinski Ficoturo, Wendy Rybinski Shields, Brian Bankoski, and Vincent Bankoski; and her grandchildren, Megan Rybinski, Sarah Rybinski, River Shields, Willow Shields, Aidan Bankoski, Darby Bankoski, Maeva Bankoski, and Sophie Bankoski.

In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her brother, Ted Marr.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 6:30pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 5:00pm. Interment will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 6065 Rock Hall Road, Rock Hall, MD, 21661.
