Nicole Marie Crawford

Nicole Marie Crawford, Age 36, of Newark DE passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 26th 2021, born October 9, 1984. She was the daughter of Robert and Araina Crawford, the sister of Mark and Shawn Crawford and the mother of 2 young children Gabriel and Oliver. She was survived by a large family of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Nicole earned a Bachelor’s Degree as a Special Education Teacher. She was a teacher at Charles W. Bush Early Education Center Wilmington, DE. She was passionate about helping special needs children and was beloved by her students and faculty.

Nicole was a positive, beautiful soul, with a loving caring heart, full of life, with a smile that could light up the room. She loved the outdoors, the beach, and the adventures of travel. Her greatest passion was spending time with her children teaching them about culture, education, family values and the blessing of a large, close family; celebrating the importance of holidays and milestone moments.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Doherty Funeral Home at 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808; Sunday, March 7th 2021 from 2 PM to 4 PM. A Funeral Service celebrating Nicole’s life will be held on Monday, March 8th at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Services for Nicole will be conducted in accordance with current COVID-19 directives, which require mandatory face masks, social distancing and occupancy limits at the funeral home.  For those not able to attend in person, the funeral service will be broadcast on Nicole’s obituary page on the funeral home website.
