Maureen Agnes (Conner) Viehman

Maureen A. Viehman, age 83, of Wilmington, DE, was called home to Heaven, peacefully passing away on January 26, 2023.  

Born on October 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose Conner.  

She attended Saint Elizabeth's High School in Wilmington DE where she met and married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Fran “Dude” Viehman on April 4th, 1959.  

Maureen is survived by her husband, Fran; children, Francis Viehman, Jr. (Joanna) of Estero  FL, Michael Viehman of  Wilmington DE, Elaine Turochy (Ronald) of Newark DE, and Patricia Sheehan (Patrick) of Annapolis MD; along with 6 grandchildren: Christina and Ryan Viehman, Maxwell and Christopher Turochy, and Lochlan  and Lillian Sheehan.  

Maureen loved the beach, her cooking shows, spoiling all of her grandchildren, and reading endless Reader's Digest magazines. She enjoyed her trips with her husband to Atlantic City Casinos where she was an awesome "joker-poker" player.  She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and selflessness as she always saw the good in people, while putting others needs before her own.  She enjoyed her final years at home with family watching her youngest grandchildren grow up.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. Interment will be private.
