Matthew Scott Hynson

Matthew Scott Hynson, 29, left his earthly life to join the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

Born in Newark on July 11, 1990, Matt was a graduate of Delcastle Technical High School and worked as a talented graphic designer.  His artistic abilities also extended to music, and he was proud to have composed many songs and lyrics, some of which can be found on Youtube.  An independent thinker, Matt didn’t bend to people’s expectations, rather he did things his own way or no way.  He was a gentle soul who possessed a kind heart and generous spirit. 

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Lauri Hynson and Scott Hynson; his daughter, Layla Hynson (her mother, Lori); his sister, Nikki Hynson; his grandmother, Catherine Osborne; his grandparents, Donald and Mildred Hynson; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Matt was predeceased by his grandfather, Donald Osborne.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Wednesday, October 30 from 4:00-6:00PM, with a funeral service immediately following.

Interment will be held privately.
