Marianna (Kacperski) Szafranski

Marianna Szafranski, age 82, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. 

She was born in Modzerowo, Poland, daughter of the late Piotr and Natalia (Nowinoska) Kacperski. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2005 by her beloved husband, Bogdan. 

Marianna enjoyed attending her grandsons’ events, cooking, singing and dancing. She was a devoted wife, loving mother as well as a kind and supportive friend. In addition to raising her family, she retired after many years at Hotel DuPont. 

Marianna is survived by her daughters, Ilona Douglas and Grace Smith (Charles Zepka) and her grandchildren, James Douglas and  Joshua Smith. 

A graveside service for Marianna will be held privately with her family in Cathedral Cemetery.
