Lorretto Doherty

Lorretto Doherty, age 61, of Newark, Delaware, and former resident of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on April 17, 2021.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Doherty; her son, Trey Herfindahl, and his wife, Christine; as well as her grandchildren, Patrick, Gregory, and Alanna; her brother, Timothy O’Brien, and his wife, Patricia, and their three children, Connor, Aiden, and Liam. She also leaves behind her dog, an Irish Setter, named Danny-Boy.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alanna Riess; her brother, Cullen O’Brien; and her parents, Timothy and Rita O’Brien.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 5-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 11am at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. The committal service will be held immediately following mass at All Saints Cemetery.
