Judith L. DiNunzio Obituary

Judith L. DiNunzio, Age, 71 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2022 surrounded by her loving children.

Judith ("Judy") was born in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Leonard L. and Edna (McVey) DiNunzio and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. Judy proudly retired from Bose Corporation in 2019, where her infectious personality touched the lives of many colleagues and customers. She was a woman before her time, open and accepting of all facets of diversity.  It was important to her to teach and share those values with her family, just as she lived those values in the way she treated others.  Judy had a wonderful sense of humor and lived life to the fullest.  She loved Broadway, the Beatles, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, and spending time with the people she loved.  Her favorite title was "MMJ2" (Mommom Judy Squared - because she had 2 granddaughters).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Leonard L. DiNunzio, her sister, Frances M. (DiNunzio) McKewen and her brother, Richard Kyle.Judy will be dearly missed by her children, William Simpson, III and wife Yumi Simpson, Julia D. Simpson and partner Dwayne Mekoleske, David Fedor, and grandchildren Grace Fedor and Natalie Mekoleske.  She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Shaffer, Rita CiMarcone, Evelyn Walls, brother-in-law, Charles McKewen, sister-in-law, Mecedes (Ski) DiNunzio and brother-in-law, Eugene F. Simpson, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life for Judy at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Monday, May 16. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 am followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:30am.
