Jeffry Stafford Kuhn II

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jeffry Stafford Kuhn, II of Newark, Delaware who died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Jeff was born on September 14, 1989. 

He is survived by his husband Brandon Ahearn, parents Jeffry & Barbara Kuhn, grandmother, Eleanore Beale, his brother Victor Mattia (Jennifer), sisters Dana Adlesic (Rudy) and Staci Kuhn (Randy), his nephews Ethan, Madden, Mason, RJ, Shane and favorite niece Emma; his in-laws Lynda & Gregory Ahearn,  Jonathan (Shiloh) and Andrea.  He leaves behind his beloved cats Ben and Frisk. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends who will miss him dearly. 

After graduating from St. Mark’s High School in 2007, he went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2012 from the University of Delaware.  After working as a Pharmacy Tech at Happy Harry’s during high school and college, for the past several years, Jeff has worked at the University of Delaware in different roles, most recently as the Beverage Operations Manager. 

Jeff lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, husband, and great friend to many. He was a loyal friend and family member. He was one of a kind and brought light to everyone’s lives that he was a part of. 

Jeff was very passionate about many things including his desire for cooking. His love for travel has taken him all across Europe in high school, many states over the years, to Puerto Rico on several occasions and most recently he had plans to travel to Portugal and Spain this month.

A visitation will be held on Friday April 1, 2022 from 9:00 – 11:00am at the Doherty Funeral Home located at 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington DE 19808.  A Funeral Service will begin promptly at 11:00am.  Burial will be private at the request of the family.  

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Jeff’s memory to the Faithful Friends Animal Society located at 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington DE 19804.
