Frazier Lee Dillon, 79, of Newark, Delaware passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Born in Abbs Valley, Virginia on August 16, 1942, he was a son of the late Zachariah and Rita (Nunley) Dillon.
Lee was a skilled mechanic who enjoyed the jobs he held throughout his career. He was an automobile mechanic with Kirkwood Dodge for many years, a machine repairman with Staz Vending Company, and an equipment mechanic with the Three Little Bakers Golf Course. He spent many years coaching his sons in their county baseball league, enjoyed golfing in younger years, was a fan of country music, and lately enjoyed jigsaw and word puzzles. Lee was a devoted husband, father and step-father.
In addition to his parents, Lee was predeceased by his sons, Frazier, Rodger, Johnny and Billy; his daughters, Diane and Kristin; his brothers, Jerry, Bobby and Jimmy.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Catherine A. (Donohoe) Dillon; his children, Barbara Pyle, John Koyne (Brenda) and Karen Koyne; his grandchildren, Christopher and Jonathon, Tabitha and Jason, Adrian and Chase, Kimberly and Krystle, Alex and Amanda, Leah; his ten great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, J. W. Dillon (Shelby), Zack Dillon (Paula), David Dillon (Jill) and Paul Dillon; his sisters, Velma Boothe and Genny DeHart (Joe); several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Thursday, October 28 from 10:00-11:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, immediately followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery. A reception will be held at Tyler's Restaurant following the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frazier Lee may be made to Saint Catherine of Siena Parish, 2503 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.
