Frank Krzanowski

Francis John Krzanowski, “Frank,” age 78, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on March 2,  in the arms of his loving wife, Carol, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Frank was born in Wilmington, son of the late John Krzanowski and Cecilia (Ragan) Koston, and raised by his stepfather, Charles Koston, Sr.

He was a proud graduate of Salesianum High School and Goldey-Beacom College.  Frank served in the US Army National Guard and he held a special place in his heart for our servicemen and women. He never missed an opportunity to treat any member of the military or the police to a meal.

A self-made man, Frank owned and operated Diamond Pest Control and enjoyed serving the needs of his community for decades.  He held various roles in the pest control community, including president of the Pest Control Association. Frank was respected for his knowledge, work ethic, and his commitment to putting the customer first.

In addition to his career, he was a dedicated family man, never missing an opportunity to gather with his many family members.  He especially enjoyed the after-school pick-ups with his beloved grandchildren.   

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing with his friends and family.  Frank was a long-time member and past president of the Delaware Anglers and Gunners Club.  Frank was also a dedicated parishioner of St. Hedwig's Church.

Most of all, Frank will be remembered for his wry sense of humor and the twinkle in his eye.  Frank had an uncanny knack for finding humor in the direst circumstances - even when he was battling cancer. 

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Krzanowski; his children, John, and Susan Carson (Patrick); his grandchildren, Morgan and Sean Carson; his siblings, Charles Koston Jr. (Trudi) and Antoinette Koston; and several nieces and nephews.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison Street, Wilmington, DE 19805, where family and friends may visit beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
