Francis V. Bonk, 89, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018.
Frank was born in Wilmington on April 8, 1929, son of the late Vincent and Feliksa (Trentowska) Bonk. A veteran of the United States Navy, he proudly served our country during the Korean War. Frank was employed with Hercules, having retired after 25 years of dedicated service, and was a member of St. John the Beloved Parish. He was a loving family man, especially devoted to his beloved granddaughters.
His wife of 67 years, Frances B. (Stetina) Bonk, passed away on December 22, 2014.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Marcy S. Forte and husband, Robert, and Janet C. Talley; his granddaughters, Jessica Baird (Jeremy), Katlin Quartarone, and Lauren Talley; his great granddaughter, Addie; his sister, Tessie Grodzicki.
Frank was predeceased by his brothers, Vincent, Joseph, Ben, Jesse, Edward, and John; his sister, Helen Stetina.
The family would like to thank the staff of ManorCare - Pike Creek for the loving care given to Frank throughout the past five and a half years.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington on Friday, December 14 from 9:00-9:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM, followed by entombment in All Saints Cemetery.
