Deborah J. (Van Dyke) Gadzinski, 68, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Deborah was born in Wilmington on July 10, 1952, to the late Herman and Doris (Finch) Van Dyke, and graduated from Conrad High School in 1970. Deborah retired from Christiana Care in 2014 after 34 years of dedicated service as an EKG technician and transcriber. She was happiest playing the slots at Delaware Park and vacationing at the beaches of Rehoboth with her “honey-bunny”,John. Deborah was passionate about her family and took the greatest pride in being a mother. She was a kind, loving person, devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first. "To know her, was to love her".
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, David Van Dyke and Donald Van Dyke. Deborah will be dearly missed by her husband of 47 years, John J. Gadzinski, who affectionately called her “Peaches”; her daughter, Amy Terry; her son, John J. Gadzinski, Jr. (Joey); her grandson, Jarren Tyler Terry and her beloved Yorkie, Gizmo. She is also survived by her brother, Daniel Van Dyke; her sisters, Diane Mabe (Thomas) and Joyce Van Dyke; her sister-in-law, Jean Van Dyke; several nephews and nieces.
A heartfelt Thank You to the Christiana Care ICU for their unwavering compassion and making Deborah comfortable while in their care.
