Christopher Adam Wood

Christopher Adam Wood, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 3, 2018.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Chris is the son of Stephen A. and Diana L. (Bush) Wood. He was a graduate of Christiana High School Class of 1990 and had attended Eastern Kentucky University and Johnson Tech. In 1997, Chris began his 21 year career in the IT field. He owned and operated his own consulting company 7 P’s IT.

Chris was a master carpenter and cabinetmaker, a skill he developed throughout his life that made the homes of his friends and family beautiful and strong for years to come. He loved the beach, and fished in his leisure time. Chris was also a Jeep lover and a Flyers fan. He loved his dog Willow, and was an avid videogamer, and often used this to relax at the end of a long day. He had many interests and hobbies, but what he really loved were the people with whom he shared those activities.

Chris was a devoted father who treasured spending time with his three children. He will be remembered for his innovative spirit and extraordinary storytelling.

Chris is survived by his three children, Morgan M. Wood, Devin C. Wood and Cameron C. Wood; his parents, Stephen A. and Diana L. Wood; his brother, Shawn A. Wood and his wife, Laura A.; his sister, Stacie L. Strader and her husband, Anthony E.; and his many nieces and nephews.

We invite family and friends to visit from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, December 8 at Faith Baptist Church, 4210 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808, where a Celebration of Chris’ Life will begin at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
