Catherine Glover Dabrowski

Catherine “Cathy” Glover Dabrowski, age 66, of Wilmington, DE passed away in her home, surrounded by her loving family on March 17, her favorite holiday.

Cathy loved the beach and made many memories with her children and grandchildren at her beach house. She loved to read and would often read multiple books a week. She also passed down her love of baking to her children and grandchildren. Cathy loved bird watching and collecting nick-nacks. She also loved her dog, Sammy.

Cathy attended Ursuline Academy and went on to work for Wilmington Trust, where she retired as a Sr. Trust Tax Accountant and Assistant Vice President in 2015.

Cathy is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband, Stanley Dabrowski.  The two have three children, Jeremy, Jennifer, and Nicole (Michael).  Cathy's pride and joy were her grandbabies -- Mia, Kira, Dante, Kasia, and Barry.  She is also survived by her best friend and brother, Bob Glover (Kathy) of Denver, CO and her half-brother, John Glover of Tampa, FL.  Cathy had numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.  She had cousins who she would enjoy the annual family “cousin party” with.  Cathy is also survived by her former sons-in-law, Ryan Carmean and Steve Schmidt, whom she loved very much.  Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marie Glover.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 24 at St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison St., Wilmington, DE 19805, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the Dabrowski family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Cathy's name to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, 2nd Floor, Newark, DE 19711.
