Beverly Ann (Morris) Tweed

Beverly Ann Tweed, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 10, 2021 with her loving family by her side.

Born in Denton, MD, Beverly was the daughter of the late Harold William and Erma Blanche (Lehman) Morris. For many years, she worked as a sales associate at WaWa. Until retiring in 2006, Beverly worked as a custodian at Newark High School with Christiana School District. She graduated From McKean High School.

Beverly was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother & sister. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially her grandson, Timmy, whom she was especially close to and raised for two years. Beverly was an avid bowler and was a member of the bowling league at Brookside Bowling Alley for over 15 years. She also loved her hot rods. Beverly enjoyed racing down Main Street with her husband, John, in his 1969 Ford Falcon.

Beverly was predeceased by her husband, John F. Tweed, Sr.; her son, Kevin Tweed; and her parents. She is survived by her son, John F. Tweed, Jr.; her eight grandchildren, including Sara & Kevin Jr. whom she raised; her thirteen great-grandchildren; her sisters, Rose Steele and Regina Morris; her sister-in-law, Bertha Cooper; her great-niece, Edie Steele; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A graveside committal service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, June 18 at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE 19720.
