Ryan Andrew Mashington

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ryan Andrew Mashington age 37.

Ryan passed suddenly on October 3rd 2018.

Ryan struggled throughout much of his life with his addiction and tried countless times to get clean and stay that way; but the addiction was so strong he could not overcome its strength.

He graduated from Elan High School in Maine and started out at the University of Delaware but college was not for him. He decided he wanted to be a barber and attended and graduated from Barber School in Newark DE. Ryan never went anywhere without having his barber clippers close by. Either to cut his own hair, or give someone else a cut. He moved from Delaware to Lancaster PA to start a new life and that’s where he met his girlfriend Angel.

Ryan was loving, outgoing, and caring, and always wanted to try and help others despite his own struggles.

Ryan is survived by his girlfriend, Angel Lantz; his daughter, Alexis; his mother, Carole Wilson; his sister, Erin Mashington; his stepmother, Elena Mashington; and his father, Paul Mashington.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 where Family and friends may visit from 10-11am. Interment will be held in Cathedral Cemetery.
