Keith Campbell, age 74, of Wilmington, DE, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
He was born in Detroit, MI, son of the late Phillip and Mona (Kaisch) Campbell and served honorably in the US Army, stationed in Seoul, Korea. He graduated from Walsh College in Detroit, Michigan before moving to Delaware in 1976. He worked as an accountant for Chrysler, before ultimately becoming an insurance agent and underwriter.
Keith brought with him his love for dogs and Michigan sports teams—especially Michigan State. He also loved camping, cars, photography and tending to his vegetable garden. He enjoyed playing pinochle and listening to classic rock and was one to always tell a not-so-short story. Above all else, he cherished the time he spent with family most of all. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Susan Campbell; his children, Tracy LeBel (Hardy), Kyle Campbell (Erin), Philip Campbell, and Amanda Roberts (Adam); his step-children, Heather Egnor (Paul), Michael Leithren (Jami), and Susie Leithren (Joel Crooks-DeForrest); his 14 grandchildren, Sophia, Gilbert, Ava, Ian, Kiera, Nolan, Jesse, Henry, Ryan, Keith, Noah, Jonas, JT, and MiKenna; his former wife and friend, Dolores Goldfarb; and his dogs, Yogi, Chloe, Gibson, and Carmela.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Campbell and his wife, Pam.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 - 7:00pm on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Resurrection Parish, 3000 Videre Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808.
