Joseph M. Lynch passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the age of 52.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware on October 27, 1965, Joe began his career with Potts Welding & Boiler Repair Company until joining Boilermakers Local #193 in 1992. He was currently a proud member of Boilermakers Local #13, working for J.J. White, Inc. Joe was a passionate history buff, enjoyed many trips to Gettysburg, and had an avid interest in World War II. He enjoyed working out at the gym, reading, and relaxing at the beach.
Joe will be dearly missed by his beloved fiancée, Linda Lappa; his children, Jessica Lynch and Joseph Lynch, Jr.; his grandchildren, Alohna, Caden and Isabella; his mother, Constance DiMaio; his brother, Richard Lynch; his aunt, Francine Lloyd; his niece, Donna Lynch; his nephews, Richard Lynch, Jr. and Nicholas Lynch; his cousins, Kevin and Donald Torres. Also surviving are Linda’s children, Maria Lupinetti Fraser, Vincent Fitch, Giovanni Fitch, Lorenzo Robins, and Angelina Robins.
Joe was predeceased by his father, Calvin Pierson; his grandparents, Joseph and Virginia Winslow.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, November 2 from 9:30-11:00AM. A Catholic funeral service will begin at 11:00AM, followed by entombment in Cathedral Cemetery.
