John Blake Obituary

John A. Blake of Newark, Delaware passed away at the age of 85 on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

John was born in Wildwood, New Jersey on June 15, 1932, son of the late Jack and Pauline Blake. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Carolina and a Master's Degree from Columbia University. A veteran of the United States Navy, John achieved the rank of ensign and served overseas. He worked as an administrator at Eastern General Hospital in Pennsylvania, and at Burdett Memorial Hospital in New Jersey. Upon retirement, John enjoyed living in North Carolina.

He was predeceased by his wife, Sandy.

John is survived by his children, Bruce Blake and wife, Jackie, Janet Renjillian and husband, Ron; his grandchildren, Zachary and Mackenzie Blake, Blake and Carson Renjillian; his sister, Barbara Pumilia.

Funeral services will be held privately.
