Jessica Fay (Todd) Small

Jessica, 34, of Wilmington DE sadly lost her long battle with addiction.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Small; her grandfather, Wayne Todd; and her father, Jim Phipps. Jessica is survived by her mother, Tina Walls (Andre); her brother, Joshua Todd; her sister, Vikki Coyle (Matt); her grandmother, Faye Todd (Bob); her aunt and uncle, Toni and Dino Schiavoni; her cousins, Kayla, Alex, and Abby Schiavoni; a host of other family and friends. 

Growing up, Jess enjoyed trying new things such as fishing, making jewelry, and meditating. She was an adventurous, unique individual often spinning a hurricane leaving a trail behind her of belongings, crumbs, and most of all love. She had an amazing voice and loved music. Many mornings she would wake the house singing Whitney Houston’s “I will always love You” or “love MOOOOOO (a taunting play on words by her siblings)”. She was fascinated with horses and the freedom they represent. Jess was always seeking knowledge, experience and guidance. She was strongly spiritual, often sharing with those around her an excitement about the healing properties of crystals or a recently watched spiritually motivating You Tube video. Jess was a kind individual with a loving soul, generous and compassionate.  While she had many challenges in life, her smile was infectious and her heart pure.  She brought joy to many around her, often pushing her own pain to the side to give someone else a hand.  

Please come join us for a Celebration of Jess’ Life on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Millcreek Fire Hall, 3808 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, Delaware 19808.  Welcoming all beginning at 5:30PM, with service at 6:00PM.
