David A. Honaker, AKA “Gremlin”, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 6, 2018.
Born in Wilmington, DE, David was the son of the late Charles F. and Avis L. (Sheehy) Honaker. He was a graduate of Christiana High School. David was a carpet installer for many years. He was very active with AA and proud to be an AA Consultant helping to counsel those that needed help especially in the prisons.
In his leisure time, David was an avid motorcycle rider and treasured his Harley Davidson. He was a people person who never knew a stranger.
David is survived by his first love and his last love, Mae E. Naylor-Hodgson; his sister, Lynette I. Brown (Josh); his brothers, C. Ray Honaker (Sally) and John R. Bustard; his nephew, Charles Honaker, Sr.; his great nephew, Charles Honaker, Jr.; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his son, Jeffrey D. Honaker; his daughter, Alexis Honaker; and one grandson and one granddaughter. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his daughter, Amy L. Honaker; his brother, John W. Honaker; and his sister, Carol H. Gibson.
A memorial service will be held during the AA Retreat in Cook Forest State Park in Cooksburg, PA on September 8th and 9th. All are welcome to attend.
