David Berglund

David Berglund, age 62, passed away peacefully in his Newark home on May 8th, 2018.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 14th, 1955 to George and Anna Berglund.  

Shortly thereafter his family moved to a farm in Woodstown, New Jersey, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He was the youngest of 6 siblings George, Judy, Richard, William and Louise. He attended Salem High School as well as Salem County Community College.  Out of high school he worked for Mannington Mills for 23 years followed by Hermann Services for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife Helen, daughters Danielle, Jennifer, and Katherine. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, and a caring grandfather of seven. Dave gave everything he had to those he loved.  He was a great provider, a loyal friend and a dedicated employee and colleague. Everyone who truly knew and loved Dave will gravely miss him.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 11:00am – 1:00pm, where a brief sharing of remembrances will take place to conclude the viewing. Interment will be private.
