Clyde Albert Gilkerson

Clyde Albert Gilkerson, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019 with his loving wife of 70 years, Betty, and his devoted family by his side.

Born in Dunlow, WV, Clyde was the son of the late Braxton G. and Martha (Browning) Gilkerson. He was proud to be a life member and 32nd degree Mason with the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Wilmington, as well as a life member of Elks Lodge #307. Clyde was also a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during World War II.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Betty L. (Staley) Gilkerson; his children, Patricia A. Wilson (William F.), Pamela S. Maciey, and Ronald C. Gilkerson (Tammy S.); his seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and his sister, Jessie L. Wilson Bunyan (Harry). He was predeceased by his parents, as well as several brothers and sisters.

Services will be private.
