I'm sorry for your loss. I remember Neil going to cut the grass at the radio station and his father let him learn about the studio.. I often listened to Mr.Pheiffer on WDEL. He will really be missed.

Bill was a great friend and an exceptional talent. We developed a wonderful friendship over the years, from our many times golfing together to so many UD football and basketball games, meals together, bus rides, airport terminals, and more. My condolences to the Pheiffer family...I know he will be missed tremendously.

Thanks, Pie, for your talents and your laughter in and around the WDEL newsroom during my tenure circa 1982-1986. Many happy memories of you, me, Ann Cates, Edie Scott, Bill "Gooch" Grantham, Robin Bryson and crew. Thank you also for your service to our country. My thoughts are with your loved ones.

VERY sorry to read of Bill's passing. Bill was a wonderful man.He was definitely a friend to officials as he went of his way to know and befriend us. His golf outtings at Lake Garrison were always looked forward to. May he now rest in peace knowing that indeed he fought the good fight, kept his faith and finished the race.

We wish to convey our deepest sympathies to the Pheiffer family. To us, Bill was the voice of all sports in the DE and Philadelphia area. We came to know him so well at his sponsored golf tournaments for the coaches of DE and also as he broadcasted the many HS games of the week for football and basketball. Thinking of him brings back so many great memories including when he sought me out on the golf course playing with Tubby Raymond, Scotty Duncan, and Ted Kempski to let me know that my wife, Dottie, had scored a hole in one. He was almost as excited as she. We will miss him and will keep these special memories in our hearts.
