Rita led a full life, but also one of compassion in caring for her dying sister and then her father and mother. She did so with patience and love and faith. I am happy we spoke several years ago and she knew how very much my father loved her. Given her strong faith and my father's, they will surely meet in a better place. Deepest condolences to Peggy and Joan.

You were always such a special aunt! I remember looking forward to your travel slide shows every summer and our trips to see The Nutcracker. I am sure that God holds you in his hand right now and that you are taking care of our Grant.

I had the privilege and honor of working with Rita for 12 years in the Latin American Division of the International Department. She was like a sister to me and her kindness, compassion and friendship was endless. Her humility was what made her such a great person. Rita, now that you are in heaven receive my love as always. Rita was the best neighbor we ever had, and we were lucky to live right next door to her for 27 years. She was always a lady--kind, considerate, and helpful. Whenever we needed anything , Rita was there. Her garden brightened the whole neighborhood, as did her smile. We miss her greatly, but we are grateful for those 27 years.
