Gino J. Torres

Gino J. Torres, 79, of Newark, DE, and formerly of Palermo, Sicily, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.

He immigrated to the United States in 1955, originally to Detroit and then ultimately to Delaware. He attended the University of Delaware and was self-employed as a building contractor.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis (Bowlin); his sons, Ezio and Jim; his brothers, Aldo (Nancy) and Joseph (Ingrid); and his nephews, Ezio A., Ezio M., and Steffen.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
