I was so upset to read that Dot had passed away. She was absolutely a dear and wonderful woman. She exuded kindness and sweetness with every part of her being. I will never forget how she welcomed us to the neighborhood so sincerely and then welcomed Lauren in as a new friend to Joy. May she rest in heavenly peace with her beloved Bud. The Ashby family sends their deepest condolences to you. The world lost a very special person.

No words can ease the pain of losing someone you love. Only time can ease the severity of distress as the hole in your heart is filled with all the wonderful memories of your mother. You were blessed to have had some recent time with her to reminisce and to add to your memories. Dottie was well liked and well loved. She touched so many lives and she will be greatly missed. Though the miles are separating us, we will be with you in spirit, not only for today and tomorrow, but always. Love and hugs.

Every time I took the trip up to our northern office to learn or see friends, I would always drop in to see the smiling face of Dot. She was such a nice lady and always happy to see me. She was a pleasure to work with for my Keep in Touch program to expand my business. Always available to help and with a great sense of urgency. Dot will be sincerely missed by myself and all the agents here down south. God Bless Her.

Dear Jack & Gail & the entire Gravatt & Giles Family,

I am so shocked and saddened by Dot's passing. She was such a beautiful person inside and out, and it was such a pleasure to have known her.
I ran into her a few times over the years, but the one I remember the most is just before Mom got sick; we saw Dot in Walgreens and chatted about old times, memories cherished about my Dad and her girls and grandchildren. She was an absolute delight.

There are no words I can say to help ease your sorrow during this very difficult time; but please know that my thoughts are with you all.

She is now at peace with Bud.

God Bless You.

I WORKED WITH DOT, WHEN SHE WORKED AT FARMERS BANK. SHE WAS A VERY NICE PERSON, WE HAD MANY LAUGHS. WE HAD A PARTY ON THE BEACH FOR HER BOY FRIEND, AND SHE HAD A CAKE. THE CAKE FELL IN THE SAND, AND SHE CLEAN IT UP AS BEST SHE COULD.. SHE COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME WITH IT. THE BOY WAS NOT AWARE THAT HE HAD A SAND CAKE. SHE HAD A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR, AND WAS A GOOD FRIEND. SANDY STATES THAT DOT AND I HAD A RUNNING JOKE EVERY TIME WE DID TALK TO EACH OTHER OR LEFT A MESSAGE IT WAS ALWAYS CALL BUTTERFIELD 8 SINCE WE HAD SEEN THIS MOVIE TOGETHER. SHE WAS A JOY TO BE WITH AND EVENTHOUGH WE HAVE NOT COMMUNICATED IN YEARS IT WAS SAD TO READ THE PAPER THIS MORNING TO LEARN OF HER PASSING. OUR "DEEPEST" SYMPATHY.

Dot was such a beautiful lady. We all enjoyed her company and she always had a smile or a quick response to make you laugh. Our office will not be the same without this gentle, caring lady. My condolences to you all.

Dear Joy, Sue, and family,
I am so saddened and sorry for the loss
Of your mom. I am so glad Steve and I stopped in to see her 2 years ago ! I also got to see you and Lizzie joy , which was great!
I talked to her last year , and she mentioned her cancer scare, and being in remission . I have so many great memories working with Dot at Ebenezer preschool. She had the best fun, loving personality, and we were constantly laughing . I will miss her laughter, and loving friendship. My heart goes out to
you both. Love, Robin & Steve Reardon
