William C. Lyons, Jr.

William C. Lyons, Jr., age 60, of Wilmington, DE, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

He was born in Wilmington, son of the late William C. and Catherine (Murphy) Lyons; was a graduate of Howard High School; and worked most recently as a warehouse supervisor for HelloFresh.

William was a die-hard Phillies’ fan; and enjoyed attending carnivals and parades and spending time at the beach.

He is survived by his siblings, Ron Lyons (Lisa), and Rita Calvetti (Dennis); his nieces and nephews, Ronny, Heather, Brittany, Bryan, and Chris; and his 6 grand-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Hitch; and his nephew, Nicky Hitch.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday, September 12, 2025 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 9:30am. Interment will be held in Cathedral Cemetery.
