Walter Frank Olbrys Jr., 82 of Newark, DE and formerly of Chicopee, MA passed away at his residence on September 23rd, 2021.

Born on July 9th, 1939 in Chicopee, Massachusetts to the late Walter and Anna Olbrys (nee Grzywocz), Walter was born and raised in Chicopee and later served his country honorably in the United States Army. After his discharge from the Army, he then made a lifelong career in the Railroad industry retiring as a supervisor after 40 plus years of service. Walter then retired to Delaware where he has lived for the past several years.

An avid beer label enthusiast, Walter enjoyed retirement by collecting various items and walking the Christiana Mall almost daily with a group of friends.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his Brother William Olbrys (Patricia) of Chicopee, MA and his cousin Agnes of Chicopee, MA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Basilica of Saint Stanislaus in Chicopee, MA at a later date where burial will follow in the Saint Stanislaus Cemetery.
