Thomas E. Saxton

Thomas E. Saxton, 82, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family members on Monday, February 9, 2026.  Born in Wilmington on July 17, 1943, he was the last surviving of twelve children born to the late Earl and Ethel (Greenwalt) Saxton.  

Tom was employed as a textile worker with Bancroft Mills.  He and his wife, Pat, enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City.  They also enjoyed trying their luck at Delaware Park, Dover Downs and the Harrington Casino.  

Tom will be dearly missed by his wife, Patricia (Buckingham) Saxton.  He is also survived by his nephew, Thomas Saxton and wife, Arlen; his niece, Cheryl Saxton; and his sister-in-law, Joanne Saxton.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Monday, February 16 from 10:00 - 11:00AM, with funeral services immediately following.
