Thomas F. Rhoades, Sr., 78, of Hockessin, Delaware, peacefully passed away surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Tom worked most of his life in the Concrete Business where he was well respected. Tom was appointed Business Agent of his Union Local in 1979. He held that position until he retired in 2008.
Tom was a very loving father that enjoyed spending his time with his family. Summer vacations in Wildwood visiting the Beach and Boardwalk with his family were always his favorite.
Tom is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice (Malgiri) Rhoades; his sons, Thomas F. Rhoades, Jr. and wife, Mary Kathryn, and Philip A. Rhoades; his grandson, Henry P. Rhoades; his brothers, Joseph J. Rhoades, Harry F. Keech, III and Brian W. Keech, Sr. Tom was predeceased by his mother, Marie (Pedicone) Freiman and brothers, Robert P. Rhoades, Jr. and Kenneth E. Keech, Sr.
Funeral services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tom may be made to Delaware Brandywine Valley SPCA, 290 Churchmans Road, New Castle, DE 19720.
