Thomas J. Craner, Sr., 69, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, with his loved ones by his side. Born in Wilmington on February 6, 1952, he was the son of the late Albert and Mary (Tussey) Craner.
Tom was a graduate of St. Elizabeth High School and married his high school sweetheart, Betty Ann. He was employed with Delmarva Power and retired in 2020 after almost 40 years of dedicated service. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed many years hitting the links at Porky Oliver. He also enjoyed being let down by his beloved Eagles and Phillies, and tuning in every year for The Masters. He always looked forward to summer vacations in North Wildwood with family especially with his grandson, Ben.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Craner.
Tom is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty Ann” (Miller) Craner; his children, Lauren Winnington (Matthew) and Thomas J. Craner, Jr.; his grandson, Benjamin Winnington; his brother, Robert Craner.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Tuesday, May 18 from 11:00AM-12:30PM. A funeral service will begin at 12:30PM, immediately followed by interment in Cathedral Cemetery.
