Teresa Jo (Craner) Liebal

Teresa Jo Liebal, age 68, of Wilmington, DE, went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 29, 2025. 

Born in San Diego, CA on June 5, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Willliam and Francis Craner.  Teresa attended William Penn High School and worked many years at the News Journal.  She also worked for Aramark at the University of Delaware.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of many years Earl Liebal; son Joshua, daughters Rheanna and Laura: grandchildren Stefon, Marissa, Madison, Jaiden and Reina and great grandchildren Aliyah and Milani.  She is also survived by her sister Bonnie and brother William.   

Teresa loved being surrounded by her large extended family.  She enjoyed many things including singing, dancing, listening to music, arts and crafts and spending summers at the beach.  She also had a passion for selling jewelry at events with her dearest friend Christine.  One of the many things that Teresa enjoyed in life was meeting and interacting with people whether it was a stranger in the grocery store or someone in the family.  She loved making and building connections with everyone that she came into contact. 

Teresa’s greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.  There is nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with them and bragging about their accomplishments.  There were no words she loved hearing more than Mom-Mom.  Teresa will truly be missed by all that knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 18 at 5:00PM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 4:00PM.
