Stephen Charles Bordas

Stephen C. Bordas, age 66, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully after a 3 ½ year battle with melanoma.

Steve was born in Charleston, WV, son of the late William and Mary Lou (Kennedy) Bordas. He was a graduate of Concord High School and enjoyed a long and successful career as a craftsman, owner, and operator in the tile business.  He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic.     

He was an avid golfer who wanted to be remembered for playing four rounds of golf in one day and having two holes-in-one.  Another passion of his was thoroughbred horse racing.  Steve will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his children, Stephen, Jr., Jessica, Ryan and his wife Lindsey, and Lindsay; his grandchildren, Eliza, Rohan, and Avery; and his siblings, Lou Ann Carlson, Nancy Eisenhardt, Linda Lonergan and Edward Bordas.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brother, William, Jr.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 11:30am on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:30am.
