Stanley F. Soja III

Stanley F. Soja III, 32, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

Born on November 2, 1990 to Elizabeth “Betty” (Cassidy) and Stanley F. Soja, Jr., Stan was a graduate of St. Elizabeth High School. He was always researching new topics, especially history. Stan had quick wit and always had a random fact ready to go no matter what someone wanted to talk about. He was someone who would lend a hand for errands and handy work around the house. He was a fan of Notre Dame football, the  Philadelphia Eagles, and the Philadelphia Phillies. Stan loved animals-especially cats and monkeys.

Stan was predeceased by his mother, Betty. He is survived by his father, Stanley F. Soja Jr.; his sisters, Lisa Emerson and husband, Matt; Katie Soja Johnson and husband, Chris; his nephew, Matthew Emerson; and his cats. Stan had a large family and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who already miss his jokes.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, November 3 from 12:00 – 1:00PM.  A Catholic funeral service will begin at 1:00PM, immediately followed by interment in Cathedral Cemetery.
