Sean Paul Casey, 37, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Sean was born in Newark, Delaware on November 23, 1988 and was a graduate of McKean High School, class of 2006. While at McKean, he was a member of the wrestling and football teams, as well as a founding member of his high school band, Taking Berlin. He was employed as a manager with Bertucci’s, Joe’s Crab Shack, and most recently, Genesis Healthcare Center in Milford.
Sean had various interests and passions including culinary arts, music, painting, tattoo art, biking and nature. He attended many amazing concerts and festivals including Bonnaroo and Firefly. His travels included Colorado, California, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Florida, France and Mexico.
Sean was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Theodore and Clara Moore; his paternal grandparents, George and Marjorie Casey (Eskridge) and step-grandfather, Carl Eskridge; his beloved cousin, Andrea Bubacz.
Sean is survived by his parents, Kevin and Carol (Moore) Casey; his sister, Elizabeth Casey and her partner, Robert Alberts; and his nieces, Chloe and Aubrey. He is also remembered by his extended family, including his cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, May 8 from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, with funeral services immediately following.
