Ruben Panganiban Rubio, 78, of Hockessin, Delaware, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, at Christiana Care Hospice after a long illness. Ruben was born in San Juan Rizal, Philippines on November 1, 1946.
He was president of the Philipino American Association of Delaware from 2005-2008. He worked at the United Nations in NYC for 23 years. Ruben was the office manager at the Philippine Breadhouse and Restaurant in Wilmington, Delaware. He also worked as a biller for Dr. Marita Fallorina’s office in New Castle, Delaware.
He is survived by his wife, Marita Mapua Fallorina-Rubio; his stepchildren, Jessmar F. Fabian (Stacey), Mariechona F. Kulikowski (Robert), Victor F. Fabian (Dawn), Katherine F. Oroho (Thomas), and Don Felix F. Fabian; his step-grandchildren, Jesse Fabian (Patty), Jacob and Rachel Fabian, Anya and Nadia Kulikowski, Brendan Fabian (Carley), Janee Dupal (Joshua), Jordan Fabian, Molly Oroho, Sara Oroho, and Evan Oroho; and his step-great-grandchildren,Cash, Holland, Kyren, and Urijah Fabian, Bennett Fabian and Teagan Dupal.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 2:00pm on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 1:00pm.
