One of the nicest, funniest human beings I have ever encountered.
Whenever Chris visited my parents’ basement as a youngster and teenager, the room was alive with jokes, music, comic books, sketches… and Julie lovingly calling or stopping by to make sure Chris took his medications.
Rest in peace, my friend. "The smoking monkey was really wild."

So sorry to read about Christian's passing. I had a class with him at Wilmington College a while back and we worked on a project together. He was a super nice and funny guy. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

Message from Carolyn Chambliss/Gauger-Cobbs Middle School
July 19, 2016 12:07 PM
On behalf of the Gauger-Cobbs Middle School staff, we wish to send condolences to the family of Ronald (Chris) Salcedo. From November 2015 until May 2016, Chris substituted for one of our music teachers. Not only did Chris take over the daily music teaching duties, but also, he prepared students for both winter and spring concerts. Additionally, this meant attending night concerts. For Chris, the time of presentation was not the concern; but rather, quality of the performance. His sincere commitment of service to Gauger-Cobbs was greatly appreciated.
We were deeply saddened to hear of Ronald's passing. He left a lasting impression on staff and students of Gauger-Cobbs Middle School.
Carolyn C. Chambliss
Assistant Principal

Loved Christian from the first time we met. Porch Chops. 1997 or 98 I think. Tie dye, beard, HAIR, sunshine smile, oh the humor, I knew we were kindred immediately. Someone I would want to see and talk to everyday though life didn't allow that. I treasure every time spent. You always felt better after talking to him. Now he is giving Chris Squire bass lessons. Namaste Xtian. ✌

Not Chris to us just our 4th son. A fixture at our dinner table to make us laugh, even if it was the blue plate special. To many stories to outline but someday we will meet again and go over the bees in the microwave and the dank dump, I will miss your face always smiling and ready to cheer us up. Love you 4th boy of ours. Auntie Lo & Uncle Jack

Where do I start??...the little yellow room, the marching soldiers wallpaper, Mike's Dank Dump or the bees in the microwave?...I lost a brother, a best friend, and a part of my family...
I could've and should've been better, instead of wallowing in my own guilt/shame...Chris wouldn't have cared...I will carry my pain wherever I go....now, my brother John is the only person that can make me laugh...before that it was Chris and Griff...who are both no longer with us. My heart is begging for the good 'ol days to return.
Tonight, I'm going to drink a glass of milk for Jules, smoke a Kent Golden Light for Uncle Ron and eat a bowl of Peanut Butter Crunch for my friend/brother and fellow space cadet/knucklhead Chris....Love You
Only

God must have needed you to teach Jimi some new chord progressions. I just wish we could have had more time with you. Thank you for the love and laughter. I will always hold onto that fondly. Love you man!
