Robert Newton Walker, 75, of Newark, Delaware passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 15, 1945, he was the son of the late Jack and Martha Walker.
Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served during the Vietnam War and achieved the rank of Corporal. He was employed with the Xerox Corporation as a service specialist and retired after 25 years of service. An avid gun collector, Robert enjoyed target shooting and crabbing. He was also a longtime member of the VFW. His pride and joy were his children and his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jack Walker (Linda, deceased).
Robert is survived by his children, Kimberly Edwards, Robin Daum (Michael), and Robert N. Walker, Jr. (Ken Mermon); his grandchildren, Justin and Bryant Edwards, Kyle, Carly and Ryan Daum; his sister, Janet Walker.
A visitation will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Monday, September 28 from 11:00AM-12:30PM. Funeral services will begin at 12:30PM, immediately followed by a private interment for family members.
